Body. Breath. Sound.
For the part of you that never switches off.
Shoulders that never drop, a mind that keeps running at night. Somatic practice, breath and sound with Juan, one-on-one in Miami.
01 / Juan
The work begins with listening.
Juan Saer
If you're carrying more than you can put down, I know some of that weight.
I've run businesses, spent most of the last decade in technology, and started over more than once. I know the stress you carry home, and what it takes for a nervous system to navigate this world.
The listening started long before that. Born in São Paulo and raised on the road as a missionary, I went town to town through South America from a young age, sitting with people in plenty and in poverty, in joy and in grief. All of it belongs to being human. Today I'm a husband and a father of two, and one prayer sits at the core of what I do: make me an instrument of your peace.
A session starts before the first sound. We talk, and as we talk, we settle. The breath slows and we come into coherence together. Whatever you bring is welcome, the heavy parts too. Then the instruments, in a room at my home in Miami, with no hurry to move on to the next person.
Training & foundations
Trained in the Chivuday-Hai method. Currently in Level 2 training as a capacitador with Marianela Ortiz, which also covers acupressure (TCM), aromatherapy, Reiki, somatic practices and breathwork; completion targeted November 2026. Informed by Gabor Maté's Compassionate Inquiry. Florida massage therapy program (LMT), completion targeted December 2026.

02 / Before you read on
Breathe with the circle.
Five seconds in. Five seconds out. Six rounds. The rhythm where heart and breath fall into step, for most of us. The first thing I measure, and the first thing that changes.
There is no breath-holding. If the pace feels uncomfortable, stop and breathe as you normally would.
03 / Individual sessions
Nothing is asked of you here.
The questions people ask before a first session. My answers.
What happens when I arrive?
We start with tea and a few questions about how the week has been sitting in your body, then a first reading. On the table, the sound comes in layers, depending on the session: Tibetan and crystal bowls, the gongs, one at your head and one at your feet, the handpan, the flute, tuning forks at the body's quiet points. The koshi chimes bring you back, and a second reading closes the loop. Plan on ninety minutes to two hours.
What will you ask me to do?
Nothing. You don't need to know how to meditate, or breathe a certain way, or have words for what's going on. You can pause, or tell me something doesn't feel right, at any point. If something comes up, we can talk about it, or not.
Is this one session, or ongoing work?
Either. A single session settles the system. The nine-session arc, below, is for when a person is ready to change something.
Do I need to believe anything?
No. Sound and breath work on the nervous system whether or not you think about them. Bring your skepticism. It's welcome in the room.
Also: private group sessions for your own circle, and breathwork on its own. Group ceremonies are below.

The room at dusk. Forty seconds, no narration. What's playing when you walk in.

04 / The deeper work
One session settles you. Nine change the pattern.
One session can settle you. Then the week pulls you back into the old pattern. The arc is built to work against that pull. Its rhythm comes from the Chivuday-Hai method.
The first three sessions come three days apart, close enough that the old pattern doesn't have time to return. The next three come a week apart, so what's shifting gets tested in your real life, between sessions. The last three come a month apart, to see that it holds on its own.
A reading before and after each one, so there's something to look at together as the weeks go by.
Opens by consultation.
Ask about the arc05 / The readings
The readings. A window, not a verdict.
For scale: after twenty minutes under his own gongs, Juan's reading came back 90% in coherence, 85% Delta. Not a score to reach, and not a promise of what will happen. The reading sits next to how you felt, never above it.
06 / In ceremony
From a rooftop in Brickell to the sand at Miami Beach.
Group sound ceremony with Karina Ríos, through Alma Sonora, at Puttshack Brickell and other Miami spaces. Some mornings, sunrise on Miami Beach, the gongs at the water's edge. Different rooms, one intention: an hour to stop and listen, together. The sound does the work.

07 / Beyond my own sessions
Supporting the people
doing the work.
The same intention takes other forms: bringing instruments to fellow practitioners, and building the technology that lets them share their work.

Instruments with purpose
Tibetan bowls and sound instruments sourced directly from India.
